National CD Release Campaigns
Hype Music designs each CD release campaign to fit the artist. We custom tailor each media mailing list, servicing print and online media, television, and specialty radio. We have one of the most comprehensive and updated media lists in the business and are proud of our strong relationship with media across Canada. We actively pursue album reviews, artist profiles, feature stories, television interviews and performances, exclusive album and single streams, online video placement, CBC and College Radio play and interviews, and more. We also work closely with reputable radio promoters and often team up with them to put together promotional tours for our artists.
Specialty Radio Campaigns
Hype Music not only services and tracks both CBC and Campus Radio, but we also actively pursue interviews and in studio performances for our clients. We don’t just talk to the music directors – we have great relationships with DJ’s and show hosts too! A specialty radio campaign can run as part of a National CD Release Campaign or on its own.
Music Industry Consulting
With 28 years of experience in the music industry, we’ve been there and done that! Hype Music offers one-on-one consulting in person or by skype. In a single consulting session you will learn the steps you need to take to successfully record and release a cd, how to get on the radar of the music industry, how to build your social media, how to apply for funding, and topics including publishing, touring, showcasing and much more. “You never get a second chance to make a first impression”. Hype Music has partnered up with a number of great music journalists to write long and short form bios for our clients. Once you are happy with your bio we can create a promotional “one sheet” which can be serviced to media, or which you can use to promote yourself to club bookers, talent buyers, concert promoters and many others.
Grant Writing
Hype Music provides grant writing services for Factor (FOUNDATION TO ASSIST CANADIAN TALENT ON RECORD) programs including Artist Development, Juried Sound Recording, Showcase, and Touring.
